christmas tree

This year's Christmas tree came from the Boy Scouts Tree Lot in town.
It is a beautiful tree.  In past years, we have braved the wild & cold Park County to cut our own tree.  Which is fun, but lodge pole pine trees just don't make nice Christmas trees.

This was Zeph's first year decorating the tree.  He took this task very seriously.

The front of the tree (from about midway down) was fully decorated with many ornaments.

And here it is, our beautiful Christmas tree!

elf on the shelf

This is Jingle.  He is our Elf on the Shelf.
This is a new tradition for our family (Neither C nor I ever had an Elf).

The kids are still young enough to truly believe in his magic.  Which is fun to watch.
We can't wait until he visited next year!

I wish I would have taken more photos of his hiding places.  I will work on that next year!

another haircut for w

W decided it was time to get his haircut like daddy.

Zeph looking on.
(He has still not had his first haircut... It's hard for me to let go of his baby locks)

Finished style.

kindergarten halloween party

Halloween Party with W's class.

It seems like ever other week there is some reason to have a party in Kindergarten.
All parties in W's class go the same (as we have the same parent that plans them) -
parents are asked to: bring in "healthy" food, work a craft/game station or set up or take down.
I did a gooey feely station with Maddie's mom and brought in a couple of healthy cheese "fingers" and carrot "eyeballs".  Of course, the kids never eat the healthy snacks.  Who can blame them, they've got candy!

W is the Ninja Turtle in the front.

halloween 2013

It was a bit different for us this year on Halloween.  Our new house is in the thick of Trick or Treating in our hood, so we got to hand out candy.  Which is good & bad.  We went through about 20 bags of candy along with a bunch of glow in the dark bracelets.  Plus, someone always needed to be manning the door, which the kids did gladly, when they were at the house.  Since they are still young, they don't have to hit too many houses to be happy.

The new house all spooked out (and snowed on) the day after Halloween.

The boys were Ninja Turtles this year.  They couldn't wait to wear their costumes.

Jen the Recycle Fairy and Chris her Rocker husband.

Haser Clan.

And they are off!

Zeph and I took our time trick or treating.
He still isn't sure of going up to strange people's houses.  But he does enjoy getting candy!

It was seriously hard to keep up with W.

We also dressed as the Scooby Doo Gang for a Halloween party.  C was Fred and I was Daphne.
