This year we decided to pick and cut our own Christmas tree (W was Zeph's age last time we did this). It was good year to do so. With the fall being so warm and lacking of snow, we were able to drive the farthest we have every gone.
We got our tree permit over in Park County and our tree from the wilderness area outside of Fairplay. It's a great area, not many people and lots of trees to pick from.
No snow.

This was almost the perfect tree. Turned out it was two trees, which happened a few times to us while we were hunting for our Christmas tree out in the wilderness.

I think W pees everytime we are out in the wild. He's very good at it.
The perfect tree! Bonus, it's a blue spruce.
Lodgepole Pines are the dominant tree in the mountains and they don't make very nice Christmas trees.
W "helping" daddy tie the tree onto the car.
Happy kids.
