Florida was a blast! It was a great week to be there. The temps were in the 70s and sunny, while in Breck it was negative 20 and snowy. We stayed at Orange Lake Resort with G-pa & G-ma Erickson (they have a timeshare there) and Uncle Ryan & Aunt Steph and Xander. The resort if great for families and offers a lot of activities and amenities. We visited all three of their zero entry pools during our week there. (Zeph loved the freedom of "walking" into the water all by himself). One of the pools has two water slides and a lazy river. We took a few (wet) trips around the lazy river. W was not into riding the slides, a little too big for him. W also played a couple rounds of mini golf. He was hoping to use the climbing wall, but we never seemed to be there when it was open. January is a slower month for the resort, which was nice for us. There is also an arcade and a weekly calendar of activities (like bingo, movies, crafts, etc). Overall, we spent a lot more time then we had planned to at the resort, but never got bored. We did go Disney World's Magic Kingdom one day and Downtown Disney on another night (there will be separate blogs for those trips). There are a bunch of restaurants close to the resort, so we ventured out a few nights. W can't wait to go back!
Nap time was hard to keep while on vacation, but Z was able to catch a few Zs while at the pool.
W was very excited to ride his razor scooter.
It was a Christmas present and he thought he was going to have to wait until summer to try it out.
W and Daddy lounging on the hammick.
W and Xander playing in the pool.
Z was a little to comfortable in the water. He would hold onto the edge and work his way around the pool. We had a floatie for him, but that lasted about 10 minutes.
Late evening swimming = no swim shirts.
We never get to swim outside after the sun goes down because it gets too cold.
W playing in the fountain.
Having a snack between mini gold and swimming.
W climbing under a lounge chair to pick up some cheddar bunnies that had fallen through the cracks.
